From April 18 to 24, 2026, the National (Lianyungang) Primary Assistive Technology Engineering (Prosthetics & Orthotics Orientation) Training Course, hosted by the China Assistive Devices and Technology Center for Persons with Disabilities and organized by the Lianyungang Municipal Disabled Persons' Federation, was successfully held in Lianyungang, Jiangsu Province. Anhui EarCare Medical Technology Co., Ltd. selected core technical personnel to participate in this systematic training, deepening their expertise in the professional system of limb assistive technology and comprehensively refining their capabilities in orthotic device fitting and clinical services.

This training is a key project jointly promoted by the China Disabled Persons' Federation and the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security to advance the professionalization of the assistive device industry. Its core objectives are to standardize the clinical application of limb assistive technology, enhance the professional competence and service level of industry practitioners, and cultivate compliant, specialized technical talent for the national assistive device service sector. The training curriculum is comprehensive and closely aligned with clinical practice needs. The seven‑day program achieved full coverage from basic theory to hands‑on application. Core course modules included: application techniques of assistive devices for persons with limb disabilities, covering concepts of functional rehabilitation for persons with disabilities, rehabilitation assessment methods, and fitting standards for various limb disability populations (e.g., hemiplegia, cerebral palsy, paraplegia); prevention of pressure ulcers and application of daily living and nursing assistive devices; walking aid techniques and practice; full‑scenario wheelchair application techniques; and application of transfer and positioning assistive devices. The training concluded with a rigorous theoretical exam and practical skills assessment to fully evaluate participants’ mastery and ensure that the training outcomes are effectively implemented.

During the training, EarCare Medical’s participants drew on their frontline service experience in pediatric and adolescent limb orthotic correction, foot and ankle abnormality intervention, and custom orthotic device fitting. They engaged in in‑depth exchanges and discussions with instructors and industry peers, fully mastering the standardized procedures and core technical elements of primary assistive technology engineering, and successfully completed all training courses and assessments.

This participation represents an important step in EarCare Medical’s continuous efforts to deepen its professional expertise and improve its standardized service system. Going forward, EarCare Medical will fully integrate the professional standards and technical approaches acquired during this training into its daily services. It will continue to focus on the field of comprehensive pediatric limb orthotic correction and device fitting, particularly the full‑cycle rehabilitation intervention for children with cerebral palsy and limb development abnormalities, constantly optimizing service processes and enhancing professional capabilities. With more scientific, standardized, and professional health services, EarCare Medical remains committed to safeguarding the healthy growth of more children and adolescents.
