(If you encounter any problems during the treatment, please feedback to us in a timely manner. Do not abandon treatment due to the tediousness of care work, as the limited treatment window may be missed.)
I. Safety Precautions
Newborns have a fast metabolism and secrete a lot of oil and sweat. Daily, through the ear cover holes of the orthosis, pay attention to observing:

Whether the skin color inside the ears is significantly red and swollen;

Whether the tape changes color;

If there is an abnormal odor emitting.
(You can open the ear cover for observation if necessary.) Yellow discharge near the ear holes is a normal phenomenon and can be gently wiped clean with a cotton swab. If any abnormalities are found, please do not worry—contact your nursing teacher promptly to ensure the baby's skin safety. (During the wearing period, please take one photo of the ear daily and send it to the nursing teacher.)
II. Prevention of Dislodgement
The correction effect is proportional to the wearing duration, so preventing the orthosis from falling off is particularly important during use.

The orthosis must not come into contact with water during wearing, and the inside of the ear cover must also be kept dry. Therefore, reduce the frequency of bathing and avoid washing the baby's hair during the treatment period. You can wipe the hair with a damp towel on a daily basis.

Avoid profuse sweating caused by the baby being overheated or crying. Keep the room cool, especially in summer.

When the baby is older, they may scratch the orthosis with their hands or turn their head to rub against the base. Please prevent the baby from scratching and pay attention to their head movements. If the edge of the orthosis lifts up, first press it with your hand to see if it can stick back. If it does not stick, reapply or replace the outer ring tape in a timely manner.
External Fixation Method
Kind Reminder
During the wearing period, sudden dislodgement of the orthosis may occur due to excessive sweating or vigorous scratching. Please contact your nursing staff promptly to schedule a re-examination. Temporary dislodgement will not affect the treatment effect or prolong the treatment duration.
(If necessary, removing the orthosis must follow these steps: Remove the external fixation → Dismantle the ear cover → Take off the traction device → Remove the base)
