A Letter to Parents [Auricle Section]

Dear Parents,
Greetings! Ears may seem ordinary, but morphological abnormalities can invisibly impair children's physical appearance, mental health, and hearing development—even affecting their auditory function. In the past, even if auricular deformity was detected early, only observation and waiting were possible due to the lack of early intervention measures. As a result, some mild deformities persisted for a lifetime, while severe cases required surgical treatment under general anesthesia when the child reached 6 years old, which was costly and invasive.
Today, however, non-invasive auricular correction is available. Early intervention during the neonatal period can effectively avoid the impacts of morphological deformity on children, leaving no regrets.

Q: When is the best time for correction?

A: In the early neonatal period, ear cartilage has low elasticity and strong plasticity. The golden correction period is within 7 days after birth, with a correction rate of up to 95%. For infants who miss the optimal time but are still within 1 month old, correction is still feasible, though it will involve a prolonged treatment cycle and reduced correction rate. Non-invasive correction is not recommended for infants over 6 months old.

Q: Will non-invasive correction cause pain to infants?

A: This correction method is non-invasive and painless. Furthermore, after successful correction, there is no longer a need for surgical intervention at the age of 6.
